I live in Michigan. I am 15.
Will I be exempt from restrictions on minor’s work hours because I’m working in a family business?
If not, will the restrictions be the same or more relaxed?
Answer by Mr Premier
The restrictions will be the same, but it’s up to the person employing you what they want to put on your payroll, and how officially you are being paid.

We have a small retail business that my father runs. The business is currently under my name but now I’m buying a house and because of the mortgage, I would now like to transfer it to my father’s name.
So question is how can I legally transfer the business to his name? I don’t want to go through a broker and take it through escrow, etc. Please help…
About the business: its a clothing store, location is in a mall, rented. All store information is under my name.
Thanks in advance.

You can have your bank draw up the paperwork for you at little or no cost.

I have been considering investing in my girlfriend’s family business. What paperwork / documents do I need to get to ensure that I am becoming part owner of the business? I don’t want my investment to be mistaken for a loan and I want to be able to proof, in the future, that this is a source of income for me.

This discharge was unwarranted because I was accused of choosing sides. I have never been reprimanded, written up, nor talked to. I worked this supervisory position with the understanding that one day it would be mine. Do I have any legal repercussions?

Sentimental “In the Heights” is a story of family and home ***1/2
Review: For a musical that’s not so terribly deep, “In the Heights” manages to leave a surprisingly deep emotional imprint. Perhaps it’s the winning characters, the irresistible salsa rhythms or its relentlessly cheerful spirit. Or perhaps it’s our proximity to the furor over Arizona’s controversial new efforts to crack down on illegal immigrants. Rating: ***1/2
