I have had a difficult time trying to break into the Finance arena. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Finance from Binghamton University (Top NY State School). I graduated in December 2004 (3.0 GPA).
I have managed my personal and my family’s portfolios since I was 14. I have invested in Stocks/Stock Options/Mutual Funds, etc. I love researching and watching the stock market moved, and have learned a great deal about the market and the economy.
Also since I was 16, I have owned and operated my own small computer repair business. I have taught people how to use software, as well as build cutomized computers and fix any hardware or software problem. Through my own business I have learned communication skills (written and oral), and also how to interact with customers and people. i am very responsible, detail oriented, analytical, and I know how to manage my time.
I will add in the next writing. I am out of room.

Are these finance charge on my business credit card tax deductible? Where should I file these charges?
Answer by Scythian1950
Credit card finance charges is interest charged for loaned money, so you can categorize it along with other interest payments, such as mortgage interest. In theory you could lump them together in the same ledger, but your accountant might prefer you keep the two separate, i.e., interest paid on short term loans from interest paid on long term loans, even though both are tax deducible.
This is assuming that the credit card is being used for legitimate business expenses, of course.

So, for my Business & Personal Finance class I have to do this assignment called Cruise the News where I find an article online about the current topic we’re working on and I write a summary about it. I turned to Yahoo Answers because I cannot find an article for the lifeeee of me. I’ve looked on all business sites like CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, etc. It’s awful that I can’t find anything. So I was wondering if anyone can help me find an article.
I’m basically looking for something with the topic of checking accounts and reconciliating them. That’s what we were working on most recently.
I was thinking of looking for an article that had something to do with checking account fraud, but I couldn’t find anything for it.
One thing I need to say…..the article has to have been written in the past year about Business stuff.
Thank you soo much! Whoever provides a decent article will get best answer!

If there is not a bank is there another way without upfront cash?
Answer by Preciosa
I’m not sure but I dont think so. Are you a colombian citizen? If you are you might be able to apply for a loan, but interests rates in colombia are high so taht would be a drawback.

I am in a difficult spot of not being able to get into chemistry for premed right now. Will classes like finance, geography, intro to sociology, spanish, and interpersonal communication be good courses to take or would it be better to just take 2-3 science courses and wait to do the chemistry in the summer? or should I be taking these “electives” before I get into natural sciences? I already have a whole semester of electives and no premed requirements are fulfllled.(freshman yr.) I plan on english and human biology with lab. I will have a full summer in academics for sure. What do you think of this all?
Answer by roseyroses14
Anything that has to do with science should be some good premed courses to take, even sociology, psychology, and maybe finance if you want. You still have plenty of time till you can take chemistry so I would choose what you want to do.

I am going to get my masters in Physicians Assistant in a couple of years and I am going to go into Cardiovascular Surgery as a Physician Assistant when im 23 years old. They make about 120k+. However I don’t plan on getting married until 28… I realized its better to be older before getting into a real relationship. But I want to know what side business I could open up and focus on after my shift as a PA is over. When im 23 and I would have payed off my loans because Im going to work part time as a PA when im 21. I will also take out a 150k home equity loan on my parents house, Yes i understand the risks but I will pay off the payment of about 2.5k every month myself. I’m going to take out the loan as a downpayment on a 2 family house. That mortgage will be likely payed off using the rent income from my house, trying my best to keep intents in there. But I plan on selling the house after maybe 10 years hoping to get 300k for a downpayment on a bigger house. But what type of business Could i do ? My uncle has a very successful limo service making millions yearly and my other uncle owns 2 two family houses and is very successful. Any advice for me?

I am a young professional and was looking for the best personal finance software to manage my budget and banking the best. As a present, I got Intuit QuickBooks “Simple Start”, but it reads like its better for business than personal finance. Is this a good software to use, or should I exchange it for something else?
