I only need the insurance to qualify for a business line of credit, so the amount to insure only needs to be $35,000.00 (as opposed to 1 million that I keep getting quoted for a premium of at least $500.00

It seems as though the only information out there explains how to start your own business as an independent agent for some giant insurance company such as Met Life or Statefarm. THAT’S NOT WHAT I’M WANTING. I want to write my own policies and pay my own claims using cash assets from my own company. Independent agents are basically just retailers. HOW CAN I TURN MY BUSINESS INTO AN INSURANCE “MANUFACTURER” AS OPPOSED TO BEING THE INSURANCE “DEALER”??????????? In other words, I want my company to be an insurance provider, NOT an insurance wholesaler, distributor nor retailer!

I am not sure of the type of insurance coverage my father inlaw needs. He started a courier/delivery (bulk mail & small packages) service & some places tell him he needs to be bonded to make deliveries. Fine. I called a bond company & they said they dont cover such things & that he requires business insurance.
Will that cover what is needed? That just doesnt sound right to me. I thought he would need to be bonded because he may be carrying things of value, like contracts, mail, cash, documents etc.
What does he need & who provides it?

I am planning on doind a small job for an apartment complex with myself and a couple friends. Since we will be using a small amount of scaffolding, we are required by the apartment complex to have business insurance. I was wondering about how much this would cost for about 3 people and about 2 weeks or less. Thanks in advance.

Health insurance is one of the biggest costs for small business that choose to support their employees. We have seen 200% grown in premium costs over the last 6 years. It looks likely that republicans will succeed in squashing any significant reform in the health care bill. How many small businesses will go out of business as a result?
Or will they simply drop employee matching leaving the entire cost up to individuals?

We are still in the planning stages of forming our business. We are looking to start an LLC that provides unarmed security guards to various professional business buildings in the Metro Phoenix AZ area. We would like to know a ballpark figure – for planning reasons – of what it would cost to get Workers Comp. Ins. and General Liability Insurance with the coverage in the amount of $100,000 for each occurrence, and an aggregate total of at least $300,000.
Thank you.

I am looking to purchase a business insurance package (commercial liability+property) for my business. I might sell the business in the near future. In such case, my insurance would be transferrable? Or should I have to cancel the insurance policy with penalty?

Hello there! I am a freelance web publisher so basically I work from home using my laptop. My husband and I just bought our first home. The other day I was shopping around for home insurance when an agent told me if I run my home business many carriers will mark me as “not eligible” for home insurance. Is this true? How do I get around that? What’s the best home insurance company?

I’m starting my own business and I want to buy my family’s health insurance through the business because they do some work for me. However, I do not want to offer it to my employees who are not in my immediate family. Are there any regulations against this. I just want to know before I proceed any further. Thanks.
p.s. I’m in Georgia, so any rules for that state would be most helpful, but help from anywhere would be great too.
