While some will say that the CD-ROM is not a long term medium for the storage of audio tracks, I believe that it is. Just the other day I popped in a Weird Al CD from ages ago (The Food Album) and it worked flawlessly despite a couple of scratches

Maggie Gyllenhaal, a dyed-in-the-wool New Yorker, has immersed herself in London life over the past four months while filming her latest movie here. She’s expanded her circle of British friends, enrolled her daughter in a local playgroup, trooped around Tate Modern and various other art galleries and explored London’s bustling street markets so comprehensively she could probably write her own guidebook

In subsequent to my post “ Operate HTTPS (WCF) Webservices in IIS 6 under Windows Server 2003 “, I’d like to show you a solution to the same problem, but running IIS7 instead. Again I use my sample WCF based Webservice and a self signed certificate for my demonstration. Other than IIS6, IIS7 has to be “WCF enabled” first, by installing WAS’s HTTP Activation as I have explained in my posting ” Enable Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) based Webservices in IIS7 “

This CMS (Content Management System) is free and no MySQL database, but it has to be hosted on Linux/UNIX server (I’ve tried to install on my Windows, but not working). GetSimple is using XML to store all information, that’s why it doesn’t need a MySQL database. This CMS is not designed for a big website with billions of data, because without a database it’s impossible to manage all data

I saw this screen when provisioning an x64 Vista box at SATV today. The failed update was Windows Powershell 1.0 for Vista x64, with an error code of 0×80004002. This post on the TechNet forums suggest a problem with Windows Update DLL’s not being updated properly.

[Note: this blog post is cross posted at Mark Miller’s site here: http://www.endusersharepoint.com/?p=1897 ] One of my company’s more unusual clients is a New York City doctor who is a leader in his particular field of medicine (eye care). Like many doctors, he has a strong interest in research. He wanted to do some research on a rare eye disorder that affects a relatively small number of people in the U.S. and Canada. I don’t know the number, but it’s really too small for a large p
