I own a small business and have been asked to make a donation for a silent auction fundraiser at a school. I don’t have any items to provide, but, would like to make a monetary donation. What would be an appropriate amount to give? Thanks in advance!

mediocre highschool grades, mediocres SAT’s. Want to be a stock broker or fund manager. Worried I would not be able to keep with the cometition.

You’re not looking for a business career, you are looking for a FINANCIAL career. Try not to confuse the two.
I am a retired Securities Investment Broker.
Undergrad school is very important. One learns basic fundamentals, accounting principals, and basic law.
One will still need to pass a test called the Series 7, the SEC administers this. It is the General Securities License.
Additionally, one needs the series 63, or state (where you will be working) certification.

Do I need math?
What do I need to take in high school?
What jobs can I get in the future with business/marketing?
How much money could I make with a business degree and a marketing degree?
Answer by maxhedr00m
Lots of math. But if you are in the top 10% you can go to any college and study business. Project Management is the best field. Sale people make the most. Good luck.

I am in Pharmaceutical Marketing and am thinking that eventually, I really need to do something more meaningful/enjoyable, even for less money. I’d like to teach biology.
I have a M.Sc. degree in Microbiology and live in N.J.
Can someone who has done it tell me the most expedient path towards getting towards this goal – while still working full in my current position? Any things you find really rewarding, regrets? Looking for some career/life advice.
Thanks

Few rules guys. Our product can consist of more than one product if chosen. The product must be legal. It has to be sold to high school kids. All the money we make goes to charity. Now what would be some of the ideal products that might connect to high school kids. We are allowed to talk to corporations like Coke and ask them if they wish to advertise their product they would be able to donate cokes to our drive. We must buy the product with our own money and sell to the students. Any ideas?

i don’t need to put it into real estate, I am not looking to spend it. This is money that I want to grow or do something with that will develop into perpetual cash flow. Just looking for the range of ideas and perspectives on how people view a pot of $300k.

Thanks for reading
I m a freshman (boo.) from Alaska, and i have no clue what i m doing right now. I figured i wasted the first year of my HS doing nothing but screwing around.
In order to achieve something i need a clear path, right now i decided to do a lot of Calculus, going to do Calculus BC next year (the 2nd calculus course), since i read from somewhere calculus is great for business + finance stuff
Also i m doing this cheesy little basic accounting, and another financial management (slanted toward personal perspective)
Also i m looking forward to take some social science courses like psychology and statistics. Hopefully do something about English (i m bilingul, english as 2nd language) to improve my writing
On the non-academic side, i have no idea what to do. I played Volleyball in middle school, and this year we dont have a boys vball team in HS. So i need to learn some sport over the summer, really QUICK !! Taking any suggestion!
What else do i need to do? Thanks.

Also, i want to specialize in something unique, something looks good on my college application.
I don’t have any patience to work hard forany competition, but if there’re some easy stuff to do, i will try. Taking suggestions!
Willing to hear your story and how YOU got into college ^o^

Any help would be greatly appreciated…thanks!
